Yamamura 飾）認(rèn)為美軍實力強(qiáng)大，應(yīng)速戰(zhàn)速戰(zhàn)，不宜和美國人打長久戰(zhàn)。于是，由他一手策劃的偷襲珍珠港行動正式啟動了。　　雖然美軍從此前截獲的日軍密電中得知了日軍可能進(jìn)行突襲的消息，但多數(shù)人都對此不屑一顧，密電的內(nèi)容也沒進(jìn)行上報。即使在突襲當(dāng)天美軍一個士兵發(fā)現(xiàn)了雷達(dá)上不尋常的飛機(jī)群，美軍將領(lǐng)仍然認(rèn)為那是自己的飛機(jī)在執(zhí)行巡邏任務(wù)。最終使得日軍偷襲行動一舉成功，美軍損失慘重。山本五十六也成了美國人最大的眼中釘。
